PS3 owners got the short end of the stick when Valve’s “The Orange Box” package came out.
Widely regarded as the “worst” version, it suffered frame rate issues and was even relegated to “lazy port” status by many (ported by EA: read about it: here. )
A relegation that seems strange considering the actual content of the package was some of the best in gaming – ever.
Then again, I never played the ps3 version.
It seems Valve have taken pity on ps3 owners and have decided to make amends.
The ps3 version of the upcoming and highly anticipated Portal2 will come with a FREE copy of the game for PC/Mac (activation via linking your psn and steam accounts)
Not only this but there will be cross platform play between those three platforms.
Very good incentive to get it for ps3 as I would have gotten it for PC anyway, and the game itself will have a heavy focus on cooperative multiplayer, so the more networks involved the better…I think.
