The Freeblood is a new vampire race introduced into Everquest 2 by SOE in December 2010, it is only available to buy on the Station store, it is currently 2000 station points about 20 Dollars.

One of the special features of the Freeblood is a Racial Trait, “Reveal Inner Self,” which lets the character change from attractive to demonic in appearance. Another Racial Trait, “Bloodletting,” grants a minor Lifetap spell to occasionally drain health from targeted enemies.

The Freeblood have three Marketplace items exclusive to their race. These are available individually or as part of an accessory pack, and may only be seen and purchased by a Freeblood character.

• Swarm of Bats, an illusion with mount properties
• Freeblood Contract, which gives access to the exclusive Freeblood Lair housing
• Ferocity of the Freeblood, an appearance which allows the Freeblood to use the new hand-to-hand combat animation set regardless of the weapons they are wielding.
