Gameloft’s Modern Combat: Sandstorm is now live on the App Store. Priced at $6.99, Modern Combat is a first-person shooter complete with ten missions and an arsenal of weapons to use against a terrorist cell you have been assigned to destroy. Gameloft has dressed the game up with voice work and cinematics that use the game’s 3D engine.
First-person shooters have proven a tricky beast for the iPhone. Gameloft has included three different control schemes in Sandstorm, such as tap-shooting and virtual sticks. My early play test with the game was largely positive, so I am curious to blaze through the full version.
