I Suck at Starcraft 2 is a www.cynicalbrit.com production. This is the first episode of a series, documenting just how terrible I am at Starcraft 2. The purpose is to provide a unique perspective on the game in it’s beta phase, that of the absolute beginner.

The series starts with his very first game against a real opponent and continues onwards (hopefully) showing me getting better and learning from my mistakes. I will mercilessly rip my own performance apart, analysing exactly what I did wrong and how to do it better, against an experienced sparring partner. As a result, this video will have small black borders. Annoying I know. Settings wise, this is on ultra, but obviously doesn’t look quite as good as it would it were played in 2560×1600, which is my usual resolution. Not that you could record in 2560×1600 anyway. The video is recorded in 1280×768 at 30fps. For those interested in what kind of machine I’m running to play on Ultra at 2560×1600, it’s not as beefy as you’d think. CPU : E8400 @ Stock 3ghz RAM : 4gigs OCZ Reaper-X DDR2800 @ 4.4.3.15 GFX : 2x ATI 5770 in Crossfire Monitor : Dell 3008WFP. Ok yeah, that bit’s expensive.
