So Christmas 2010 is coming up fast, and you are a PC gamer or you want to buy a present for a friend who is a PC gamer.

Number 5 Fallout Vegas or the original Fallout (if you dont already have it)

Fallout Vegas suffers from some fairly serious bugs on the PC, with rotating heads etc but its still a quality game, and you cant beat the action RPG format that was pioneered in the rebooted Fallout last year.

However its more of the same, and if you dont already have Fallout you should pick up Fallout game of the year addition on Steam with all the expansions, its much less buggy and awesome value for money.

Number 4 Civilization V (Civ5)

Still the best strategy game available on any platform and a worthy successor to Civ 4, it has some serious balancing issues (that only the hardened veterans would notice) but it is without doubt one otf this high points of this years PC releases.

Even if you are not a strategy fan it an amazing game with infinite re playability, and if you are into strategy games its a must buy this Xmas

Number 3 X-Mas purchase Starcraft 2 the Wings of liberty

What can you say, over 10 years in the making and it shows it, with top of the line production values, yes another strategy game, but unlike Civ V it has a compelling plot, and an excellent competitive multi-player community, dont forget the mods. this game has already sold tens of millions world wide.

Number 2: XMas PC game must buy is Amnesia the dark descent

This is an indie game which is available for purchase on Steam you can gift it for just 19 Dollars, its not well known but its an amazing survival horror game with a dark atmosphere, and at sub 20 dollars its a steal for the bargain hunter this holiday season.

Number 1: Call of Duty Black Ops

God help me I really did not expect much from this game particulary after all the events earlier in the year with the departure of the original creators of COD from Activision.

But by all accounts this latest version is a must buy this holiday season with almost universal praise from the pundits, and an endless multi player experience to keep you going after you have finished the story campaign.

Amazing production values, great graphics, and best of all the PC is the best platform to play it on, far superior to the Xbox and PS3 versions (if you have a good PC)
